Tea for Two

I grew up surrounded by music.  Mom is a wonderful pianist, alas, a talent that sadly didn't flow down to me.  I moved more towards the visual arts.  But I loved listening to her play and the piano itself was  always a grand mystery.  Along with the piano bench.  Which opened up to piles of sheet music.  Not only from her childhood but also her aunt's.

So it seemed natural to combine my two loves.  I'm doing a series of pen & ink with watercolor on sheet music.

Going through the old sheet music with Mom has been lots of fun.  We even found a few of my old beginner piano lesson books.  I did get a few gold stars . . . .
